30 Hands

Hi everyone !

Maybe you don't understand anything from the title but don't worry, i am going to explain to you.

30 Hands is a digital storytelling app. It means that you can use it from your mobile devices. Let me show you how the app works step by step.

After downloaded the app, you see this page.

by clicking the " + " button at the top of the page you can add your presentation in this page.

When you click the " + " button,

You encounter with this page and you need to write the name of your presentation here. Then you need to click the Add Slides button at the bottom of the blank.

When you click the Add Slides button you can choose any option that you want from here. I choose photos from my camera roll for you.

In a time you can only add 10 pictures. After adding your photos you can record your voice from the red button under the image. You can record your voice seperately for each photo. I choose a random image for you. I just want to show you what you can do by using this app.

You can change the image you choose, delete the audio and record a new one, delete the slide and copy the slide from the button at the top of the right on the page.

 Also you can do some changes by clicking the pen symbol near the recording button. You can add text or mark some part of your photo easily. Also you can re-do the changes.

When you do all things that you need by clicking the share button at the top of the page you can publish your video. In the right picture you see where you can save your video. After saving it to your camera roll you can add your video anywhere you want.

Also you can access the other people's videos from the cloud button. There are different projects that you can watch. You can share yours in there.

What can students do by using this application ?

I am sure i will use this application for my students in the future. They can prepare a short video about their summer holiday when the new year begins. We can watch it in the class and this may be a warm-up activity for the students. Also they can make short cartoons by using some pictures that they created themselves. In the application you can add video to presentation and it is an advantage. They can record a video without sound after they try to guess that what happens in the video. It can be a whole class activity and i think i will be enjoyable. This are my ideas please share yours if you have some. DIGITAL STORY TELLING PROJECT

Hi! I am here again with a new thing for me. This week our assingment is preparing a digital story.
Digital story is a story which is supported by images and music. We got 3 options and we choose the one which is about friendship. I worked w/ Kevser in this project. We really had fun when doing it.We use this website. First we created the scenes than we recorded our voice and add it. Also we added a background music. I like the project a lot, this is such an enjoyful activity for me. I think every English language learnes like it especially the young ones. I am sure i'll use this activity for my learners too. It was a bit hard to match the scenes and sound but we achieved it. This is the link of our video -------> click . Please watch it.

Hello again.

This time i am going to introduce you a website for learning English. This is the website's link.
It is more about learning and practicing English grammar rules.Luckily it is free. It is suitable for all the English language learners and English teachers. It includes many useful things for all age groups and some teaching materials are avaliable in it. It is Kathleen's personal website who is a retired teacher. Let's have a look at the website in detail!

When open the website we see this page and from the circled column you can choose what is necessary for you. For example you can learn idioms, proverbs, vocabularies....

In the word games section there are a lot of level for learners they can choose whatever they want.

There are different games as you can see in the picture. There are also printable games section for teacher that they can use it in their lessons.

In the resources section there are a lot of sources for learners and teachers. This section like a treasury. Audiences can do listening and learning activities, they can improve their pronunciation they also use online education part for their learning. Besides those the exam preparation part can be very helpful for teachers.

By clicking grammar section under the title of Improve your knowledge of English from the main page you can learn all subjects of English and do online exercises about them. Also there are printable exercices for teachers.

What Do I Think About the Website?

In my opinion, this is such an advantageous website for English learners and English teachers because it offers a lot of learning activities, exercises, games and courses. They are all creative and enjoyable and also they can simplfy the learning process. The best point of the activities is that they are printable. Teachers should suggest the students to use this kind of websites. Thanks to them language learning process can be more enjoyable.

In fact i really like this website but the only think that i find negative about it is; it has got a very formal design maybe young learners can get bored because of the page styles. It hasn't got any images or cartoons. It includes activities for young learners but they are all in that boring style. Visual materials are helpful when learning and they should be used in this website too. 

It is just a brief explanation about the website. It would take many hours to talk about all of the things in it.That is all i can say about the website please check it and use it yourselves and see the informative sources. Wiki Project: My Favourite Book

Hello again! Today i am here with a new thing for me. I created a wiki page this time. It is a new activity for me. I wrote about my favourite book that i have read in the semester. It was completely enjoyable for me because i love

reading a lot. If you ask me what is the advantages and disadvantages of wikis, I can say that it is helpful for second language learners. They can write in the target language and it enhances their writing skills. They can use available wikis on the internet for their language learning. You can find a lot of wikis on the internet for improving your language abilities. Everyone who can use the internet can use wikis efficently. It is so simple. Wikis' are unaccessible if you haven't got the internet access. This can be the disadvantage for the users of wiki. The link is under you can see my wiki project please read it. Mysterious Box

   Hello again. We were assigned to create a podcast. This was a new experience for us and we were really excited about it.My friend Ecenur and I worked together for this project. We wrote a sound rich story and found the sounds from soundbible.com (it is free and you can download the sounds). The only problem when we create the podcast was our illness. We both have cold and i am sounded like someone else. But all the other things were very enjoyable. We tried so many times to do our best. After 10 or 13 times we could!

   I think podcast is a good activity for learners. It enables them to speak and listen themselves. On the internet learners can find many podcasts for gaining accent and learning new things. It can be done very easily. You just need a mobile phone for recording and internet access for upload.Here is the link that we used for our podcast.It is free too.
